Living at Hervey Bay

Hervey Bay has long been a popular holiday destination with its sweeping beaches and scenic hinterland. It is easy to see why people visit, fall in love with and relocate to our beautiful region. It really has it all, for every stage of life.

The Fraser Coast region is an attractive place to live and work and every year more than 3,000 people discover an idyllic and affordable lifestyle destination in Hervey Bay.

Hervey Bay is recognised as a hotspot for investment and for many decades has attracted tourists, renters and investors from throughout Australia and overseas. It also has public and private schools for growing families and its booming tourism, education, retail and health sectors continue to expand.

Hervey Bay’s health sector is now a major employer and the new St Stephen’s private hospital is the most advanced digital hospital in Australia. Two new aged care facilities are also being built and there is an increase in allied health industries – all of these major assets provide for jobs, economic growth and positive impacts for people living here in beautiful Hervey Bay.

The Fraser Coast property market offers some of the most affordable residential accommodation in coastal Queensland. Flanked by beautiful beaches, Fraser Island and an attractive hinterland, Hervey Bay is certainly an exciting and magnetic place to live. We have always known that and many more people are discovering how inviting it is to live in a friendly, dynamic city that values its local history and beauty.

Sarah and I  like to close up the house in Brisbane and set off on road trips in our motorhome, sometimes for weeks on end (grey nomads) and for the last two years we have been on the lookout for a nice quiet coastal town where we can sit back and enjoy life more fully, looking from NSW central coast to as far north as the Queensland Whitsunday coast.

As we stood there looking out over the Kingston estate for the first time, we could sense an ambience about the area. There is a certain feeling of peace and tranquillity. It was hard to believe we were literally only minutes away from the major shopping centres, retailers, clubs and beaches of Hervey Bay.

Sarah and I looked at each other and knew we had found exactly what we were looking for...nothing compared... the search was over.
